In the era of many starvation and deaths due to famine and natural disasters, pray for the souls of the dead, pray for a natural disaster, no earthquake never again, "Senninbutsu(1000 buddha)" said to have prayed a thousand appearences of priests.
This project was planned to help "the revival of mind by art" to the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.
You can see 1,000 pieces of charcoal paintings drawn by the victims themselves in one huge hanging axis and "Symbol Buddha of the present age" which is a symbol to inform the earthquake disaster to future generations.
